Overview
The Hutchison HBBUL Tombstone Bull Feeder is a heavy-duty round bale feeder engineered for the largest, most demanding livestock, bulls and animals over 1,500 pounds, horned cattle, buffalo, draft horses, and elk. Built with stronger hoops, wider spacing, and a reinforced frame, it withstands the constant pressure these animals apply where lighter feeders bend, shift, or get dragged out of place.
With 12 feeding stations set around a 58"-tall ring, the HBBUL gives large herds comfortable, simultaneous access, while its sloped tombstone hoops guide animals in and out cleanly to cut hay waste. An 18" skirt keeps hay contained at the base, and the all-16-gauge steel construction, 2" tubing, a 1½" square frame, and 1 1⁄4" round legs, delivers the strength that defines the HW Brand Heavy Duty Brown line. It ships as a three-piece feeder (also available in individual sections) for easier transport and setup.

Applications & Uses
The HBBUL is purpose-built for operations running bulls, mature cattle, and other heavy stock that overpower standard bale feeders. Its reinforced frame and sloped hoops let animals reach hay without lifting or dragging the feeder, keeping it planted through daily pressure in pens, dry lots, and pasture settings.
The wider 20½" hoop spacing makes it especially well suited to horned cattle and buffalo, which need more room at the head and shoulders to feed safely. For producers wintering large groups on round bales, the 12 feeding stations spread animals evenly around the ring, reducing crowding and bossing at the feeder and helping the whole group hold condition.
On ranches and diversified operations, the HBBUL also serves draft horses and even elk where heavy, waste-reducing feeding is a priority. Its three-piece construction makes it practical to move between paddocks or stores seasonally, and individual sections are available to repair or extend feeders already in service. Pair it with HW Brand stock tanks, corral panels, and gates to build out a complete, heavy-duty livestock system.
